Bar Code Printing
BarDIMM modules plug directly into the DIMM sockets on compatible models, instantly giving these printers the ability to produce precise barcodes in practically any format. The high output quality of today’s LaserJet printers ensures that these barcodes can be easily read by standard OCR products. Indeed, an appropriate HP LaserJet printer equipped with one of these modules is fully compatible with ENC/MITL (European Normalization Committee/Multi-Industry Transport Label) specifications.
Barcode formatting error detection and checksum applications are performed in the printer, reducing the load on the host system and the network. For maximum flexibility, barcodes can be printed in almost any size or rotation. The user can adjust bar width and height. And text values can be embedded in the bars, half embedded in the bars, or printed above or below the bars in a variety of fonts and sizes. It supports >50 barcode formats.
No programming is required to print professional barcodes: the printer does the job automatically, from checking and compressing incoming data, calculating checksum, to writing text under or above the bars.

IBM Host Printing
LinkCom III S EIO is a multifunction and versatile protocol converter designed to support both IBM host printing and any PC/LAN printing on HP laser printers including HP laser printers with MFP capabilities. It features a two port switch for connection to the network and for connection to the printers NIC port. IBM host print data will be translated in the LinkCom III S EIO, and send directly as PCL or PostScript to the printer.
LinkCom III EIO works efficiently within the mixed Host/LAN environment and supports TCP/IP and SNA sessions directly from the IBM host systems as well as TCP/IP sessions from the LAN. convert IBM IPDS, ICDS and SCS/DCA to the industry standard PCL5/5e or PostScript language used by any HP LaserJet printer.
It offers easy Plug 'n Print installation for the AS/400 environment using the TN5250e. TN3270e allows mainframe users to migrate SCS/DCA data stream to LAN in an easy manner.
